We are active in professional organizations relating to health care and business, and we continually update our knowledge of the law in our practice areas.  Our experience and attention to evolving issues enable us to be creative when dealing with difficult legal issues affecting our clients.  We are usually familiar with the kinds of organizations our clients operate, the professions they practice, the markets in which they compete, and the challenges and opportunities they face.  In responding to a client's immediate questions, we keep in mind the client's business goals and strategies for competition and growth, and try to present alternatives that will achieve the client's short-term and long-term objectives.

Each of the firm's principal attorneys has been awarded the AV Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, the highest rating available for legal ability and general ethical standards, and they are regularly engaged as speakers and authors on topics relating to the firm's practice areas.

Our firm represents clients before all courts and administrative agencies relating to our practice areas, including state and federal district, circuit, bankruptcy and appellate courts.  We also litigate issues before state and federal administrative agencies such as the Michigan Department of Community Health (Bureau of Health Professions; Medical Assistance (Medicaid) Program), Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth (Office of Financial and Insurance Services), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
